Here are some important reminders—some we discussed in class…some we did not b/c I forgot!

Wednesday Block Parties:  Locations include Flentge’s, Roseman’s, and Greene’s — If you would like to help at one of these spots, email Kristal, Andrea, or Brandi and they will get you directions.

Sunday we will have class in the Youth Room due to our room being set up for Judgment House.

No LifeGroup on Sunday, November 11th due to Judgment House.

We are serving the Exalt College students lunch on Sunday, November 18th.  Plan is tacos again.  Drew Witvoet gets a chance to redeem himself!  Since we will not meet on the 11th, we will try to knock out a sign up sheet this Sunday.

Sunday we are having a mission fair that will give people an opportunity to see where people can serve—-locally and globally for the rest of 2012 and in 2013.  Our class is scheduled to attend the mission fair at 11:15.  So Sunday we will not have our Gospel Project lesson.  I will have a handout that summarizes the lesson and will encourage you to review it at home.  Choir peeps—I would say to just go to the mission fair when you are done.  For those in class, someone will be there to lead prayer time and to go over/discuss how Lynwood supports missions through “Lynwood on Mission.”  Remember that you received your LOM 8 info this week in the mail…please spend time praying about supporting LOM 8.

Also, put September 29th on the calendar.  Scavenger hunt starting at church….then ending at Shadow Rest with food and fun times.  Likely will meet at church at 6 pm.  Get your baby-sitter lined up!

See you Sunday!

Be sure you get it….

Kenn asked me to post the following message:

This Sunday, please pick up enough placemats for your family to use one night next week during supper.  It will have the “Big Picture Question” on it along with the Christ Connection that the kids will learn this week in their LifeGroups.

The Gospel Project will give families a great opportunity to discuss the Bible and what our children are learning.  They are going to be going through the Bible.  How awesome is that.  And how awesome could it be if we nurtured/developed/fertilized that at home during the week?

Maybe you have struggled with you “reading through the Bible”.  This could be a great time to start fresh.  It doesn’t have to start Jan 1.

See you Sunday!

Social and Prayer Request

Posted: August 30, 2012 in news

I have heard from the Clippard’s, Dennis’, Burgard’s, Martin’s, Bowman’s, Underwood’s, and Gibb’s about a date.  Please let me know ASAP if the 22nd or 29th of September works better, or if you have no preference.

Also, we are nixing the childcare at church.  We will all be getting childcare for ourselves—so start making plans for childcare.

You may or may not know, but Dale Pingle (Whitney’s dad) is in the hospital at SE.  He has had a fever for several days, sometimes as high as 103.  They have ruled out West Nile, but beyond that they do not know what is wrong.  Please pray for answeres and healing.

Email me a date, or post a comment.  And pray for Dale!

Jonathan Barrett

Posted: June 5, 2012 in Community, news

Jonathan Barrett was born tonight at 6:11 p.m. and passed away at 7:25 p.m.  He weighed 5 pounds 12 ounzes and was 19 in long.  He was held by Josh and Lisa, along with Jesus tonight.

We have heard Josh and Lisa are doing amazingly well.  Please continue to pray that their faith will be strong, that they will know that God is good, that God is sovereign, and that they will feel the prayers of many people lifting them up.

I am going to pick up a book this week and give to the church library in memory of Jonathan on behalf of our class.

Thank you for praying.
