Here are some important reminders—some we discussed in class…some we did not b/c I forgot!

Wednesday Block Parties:  Locations include Flentge’s, Roseman’s, and Greene’s — If you would like to help at one of these spots, email Kristal, Andrea, or Brandi and they will get you directions.

Sunday we will have class in the Youth Room due to our room being set up for Judgment House.

No LifeGroup on Sunday, November 11th due to Judgment House.

We are serving the Exalt College students lunch on Sunday, November 18th.  Plan is tacos again.  Drew Witvoet gets a chance to redeem himself!  Since we will not meet on the 11th, we will try to knock out a sign up sheet this Sunday.

Upward Testimonies/Devotions

Posted: January 19, 2012 in Class Activities

We need 3 more peeps for 2.11.12 to share at Upward.  Each person will share three times over an hour (halftime of each of 3 games).

Here is who signed up:

8:30  Tami Burgard

9:30  Ryan Bandermann

11:30  Josh Burgard

2:30  Kendra Odom

Burgards are steppin’ up!  Thanks also to RB and Kendra!  I see three lonely times.  Who’s gonna fill ’em?  Leave a comment and let’s share the gospel, show an inviting lifestyle, be a witness, talk about the Lord, help to make Him famous….whatever you want to call it…let’s be like Nike and just do it!

Saturday is our class Christmas party…and we are hooking up with the Lancaster/Wilson class.

Details:  6 pm at our place–1509 Boxwood (from Cape—take N. Kingshighway out of Cape toward Jackson.  This will become Jackson Blvd.  Continue past Wal-Mart, across railroad tracks.  Turn right on Farmington at the 2nd light past the railroad tracks.  Continue on Farmington and go through traffic light at Farmington and Independence—stop at the light if it is red.  Turn left on Redbud, which is the first street to the left after you cross Independence.  Redbud will end at Boxwood.  We are on the right @ 1509.  Not sure why I just typed all that since most of you have a GPS or iPhone.

We will do a white elephant exchange—-men bring a men’s gift….ladies bring a ladie’s gift.  No purchasing.  Needs to be something laying around your house.  Meredith O. mentioned having extra after cleaning out a closet if you have nothing.

Food will be finger foods/appetizers and desserts.  We will have coffee and some kind of winter, Christmas drink.

Does anyone have the sign up list for what they are bringing so we don’t have 20 people bringing chicken wings?

Muscles Needed

Posted: November 18, 2011 in Class Activities, Ministry, news

Need your help tomorrow night after the TC concert.  Brian has asked if we could help load some of TC’s stuff and maybe help getting the stage back to normal (I think???)

If I remember, I think Meredith volunteered Alex, Jennifer volunteered John, myself and some others, but cannot remember who else….so if you will be there, lend your “guns” to help move some stuff.

Here is a little Travis Cottrell teaser…

Fall Block Parties

Posted: October 27, 2011 in Class Activities, Class Fun

Monday night (Halloween), there will be fun, food, and festivities @ the Underwood’s in Jackson.  Last year was the first time Lynwood had “block parties” and the shin-dig @ the Underwood’s was good.

So make plans to help out @ the Underwoods if able—they will need help (I think it starts at 5)

We will be hosting the College peeps at our crib Monday night.  Should be fun.

We will have directions to the Underwood’s Sunday.

Leave a post if you can help….or leave a post if you are dressing up!!!!  Or, if you would not get laughed at, who/what would you dress up as?

Do you like to run?  Do you hate to run….but are willing to do it for a good cause?

Well check out

This 5k run/walk supports a great ministry that helps to provide shoes for needy children in the Cape/Jackson area.

The race is October 8th @ 8 am at the SEMO River Campus.  Registration is from 7:00-7:45….or you can register on-line at the above web site.  Cost is $20, and includes a free shirt!

Great opportunity to be a light in our Jerusalem.  Great opportunity to have some fun together as a class.  And great opportunity to support Darren Schlitt from LBC who helps lead this ministry.

See you there????

Are you ready for “The Happiest Place in Cape”?

That’s right…it’s the SEMO District Fair!  That is what their web-site says!

Our class is responsible for the Lynwood tent tomorrow night @ the fair.  We are scheduled from 3-9.  Some signed up from 3-6, some from 6-9.  If you cannot do a three hour block, just come when you can.

Fried snickers, 60 degrees with a light north wind….a monkey….good fellowship….being a light in the community.  What more could you ask for?

See you tomorrow at the Happiest Place in Cape!
